Nancy’s Got a New Word - Page Fright!

Nancy’s Got a New Word - Page Fright!

Check this out! My new “bellefriend,” Nancy Tierney of Unconditional Confidence, just made up a new phrase… and it rocks!!

What’s the new phrase? Page Fright!

Last week, while in the “muck and mire” of trying to write copy, I synchronistically found my way over to Nancy’s blog. The first thing I saw was “Page Fright.” I thought I was going to bust a lung, because I couldn’t stop laughing and could relate to her plight (trying to write). It was so right on for what I was going through in that moment. My energy totally shifted. It is brilliant. Thanks, Nancy!

So… I have added Nancy’s Page Fright to my list of new words – Blessons, Belle-ness and Affir-Questions. If Nancy and I keep this up, we’ll have to create our own dictionary of words and call it:

The New Dictionary of Unconditional Confidence & Bold Self-Expression
by The Fearless Self-Expression Sisters

Be sure to go on over to Nancy’s blog, Unconditional Confidence, and check out what she has to share about Page Fright… it’s fabulous (as is she!!).

Whoa! The New Dictionary of Unconditional Confidence & Bold Self-Expression!
I like it! Tuck, we must get on this right away.

Don’t you feel that creating new words and phrases is a symptom of blossoming self-expression? I mean, as we find our true voices and are eager to have them heard, we find our own language as well. We can’t be limited by words already in existence, can we?

That’s why I encourage people to just make sound. Wordless sound. Even ugly sound (which is so hard for people to do!) as long as it is a sound that just wants to come through your body and voice. Yelps, gurgles, growls, hisses, tones, whatever! It helps break the dam of limitation and judgement around what comes out of our mouths.

I am so proud to be your Fearless Self-Expression Sister. And I’m exquisitely happy that I made you laugh with such vigor.

    Keep rockin’, Sister!
