Okay Nancy… I’m Drunk with Appreciation
I have been having a blast over at my “fearless self-expression sister”, Nancy Tierney’s Unconditional Confidence blog this week. She has taken up the Complaint Free World challenge, and given it an unconditionally confident twist.
The Complaint Free World challenge is to order a bracelet and then…..live a complaint free life…… for 21 days!
If for any reason whatsoever, you find yourself complaining during those 21 days, your job is to switch the arm you’re wearing the bracelet on. The purpose? To get the world to be a more positive place.
Read more about it here and be sure to order your bracelet. I got mine.
So, my friend Nancy has issued a counter challenge – an appreciation challenge to create a World Drunk on Appreciation. Here’s how it works. Anytime you find yourself getting grumpy or starting to complain, switch your bracelet, then….. find 5 things in your life to appreciate. Really appreciate. Five things that absolutely rock your world!!!! Like Nancy Tierney, her humor and her fearless self-expression! You rock Nancy!
Come along and join us for the challenge……let’s go get drunk…..on appreciation that is!!

Hi Tuck,
Had to share the fact that I was so inspired reading your blog yesterday that I bounced right on over to Nancy’s site also.
You freedom belles have really got this all sewn up. I absolutely agree with you in that appreciation is the key to everything.
First I want to tell you how appreciative I am for all the you do. I love to visit your blog for a drop of loving kindness and some good old fashioned motivation and inspiration. You are a brilliant teacher and you make it all so much fun.
Being a coach like you, I also love to spread the good news whenever I learn something new. Now I use this with my Juicy Woman clients specific to helping them to overcome their emotional eating and lose weight without dieting, but the great thing is that what I’d like to offer you can be taught and applied to any learning situation.
Since the law of attraction works on the basis of increasing one’s vibration, it’s essential to clear out the mental clutter.
This is what I affectionately call the screaming meanies, those old negative and critical voices that put you down and wear you out.
The meanies aren’t bad, they’re just misinformed. They popped in a long time ago when they had a job to do to take care of us. Somewhere along the way, we outgrew them and they are still chattering and nattering away saying things that bug us. That’s just old programming and the great thing is that it can be updated and upgraded.
If you flood your mind with new programming, it will wipe out the old programming. Here’s what I would like to share. Think of a statement that you want that embodies something that represents the meaning in your life. It must be completely positive in nature and have no elements of wishing, yearning or hoping. You want it to be definite and clear with a powerful energy.
I have chosen the statement, “I go forth to meet my good.”
I repeat that constantly. Some people say to get a tally counter from an office supply store and count the repetitions that you repeat the phrase. I’ve heard that when you’ve reached 1000 repetitions in a day, that is your assurance that particular day will be a great one. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
Hugs,
Andrea
