Okay Nancy… I’m Drunk with Appreciation

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

I have been having a blast over at my “fearless self-expression sister”, Nancy Tierney’s Unconditional Confidence blog this week. She has taken up the Complaint Free World challenge, and given it an unconditionally confident twist.

The Complaint Free World challenge is to order a bracelet and then…..live a complaint free life…… for 21 days!

If for any reason whatsoever, you find yourself complaining during those 21 days, your job is to switch the arm you’re wearing the bracelet on. The purpose? To get the world to be a more positive place.

Read more about it here and be sure to order your bracelet. I got mine.

So, my friend Nancy has issued a counter challenge – an appreciation challenge to create a World Drunk on Appreciation. Here’s how it works. Anytime you find yourself getting grumpy or starting to complain, switch your bracelet, then….. find 5 things in your life to appreciate. Really appreciate. Five things that absolutely rock your world!!!! Like Nancy Tierney, her humor and her fearless self-expression! You rock Nancy!

Come along and join us for the challenge……let’s go get drunk…..on appreciation that is!!

Nancy’s Got a New Word - Page Fright!

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Check this out! My new “bellefriend,” Nancy Tierney of Unconditional Confidence, just made up a new phrase… and it rocks!!

What’s the new phrase? Page Fright!

Last week, while in the “muck and mire” of trying to write copy, I synchronistically found my way over to Nancy’s blog. The first thing I saw was “Page Fright.” I thought I was going to bust a lung, because I couldn’t stop laughing and could relate to her plight (trying to write). It was so right on for what I was going through in that moment. My energy totally shifted. It is brilliant. Thanks, Nancy!

So… I have added Nancy’s Page Fright to my list of new words – Blessons, Belle-ness and Affir-Questions. If Nancy and I keep this up, we’ll have to create our own dictionary of words and call it:

The New Dictionary of Unconditional Confidence & Bold Self-Expression
by The Fearless Self-Expression Sisters

Be sure to go on over to Nancy’s blog, Unconditional Confidence, and check out what she has to share about Page Fright… it’s fabulous (as is she!!).

When The Student Is Ready…

Friday, July 21st, 2006

OMG! My first posting comment… and it’s from Dr. Meg Haworth!

Who is Dr. Meg Haworth? Meg is a phenomenal Spiritual Psychotherapist and Writer in LA. She was one of my first teachers and mentors who also became one of my best friends!

How do I know her? I met Meg on a “cold call” back when she owned a Spiritual Bed and Breakfast here in South Carolina. Talk about synchronicity (which, by the way, I talk about in my e-guide, The Rebel Belle Guide to Bold Self Expression).

So what’s so great about Dr. Meg? In my e-guide’s Step 6, “When the Student is Ready…,” I mention Dr. Meg as one of the powerful influences in my life. Meg was ready for me, and I was ready for Meg. What a transformational team! She grew as a teacher, and I grew (yet again) as a student. And as I would leave Meg’s office, she would always say to me, “Tuck, you are empowered, and you are empowering!”

Thank you, Meg, for the incredible gift you have been in my life! Thank you for your trust, love, partnership and friendship. Thank you, Meg… yes, I am!

Where can I learn more? You can access Dr. Meg’s 3 Rules for Living on her website, www.doctormeg.com.
