Southern Tradition Goes Hollywood - Part 1 of 3
I just returned from a family wedding, and oh my God, was it fun!! Being with my brother, my sisters, and the children and grandchildren was awesome. Then there were the ex-husband and in-laws… I had forgotten how much fun we all used to have together.
Why was this wedding so much fun? Because it was different… really different. I loved it for two reasons: First, the bride and groom had their wedding on their terms, and secondly, the format of their wedding flies in the face of southern tradition.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that I don’t like southern tradition and southern weddings. It’s just that I loved this couple’s creativity and bold self expression. For my wedding, I simply handed it all over to my mom and said, “You’re paying for it, you do it.” I’m glad I did. She was happy, and everything came off without a hitch.
However, this wedding was in a league of its own. I even have a few pictures to share with you. Stay tuned for an explanation of their wedding theme.

See you inside!
