Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Katrina over at Callapidder Day’s is gearing up for her Fall into Reading 2007 Challenge which begins September 23rd. I’m excited to ponder the books I’ll be committing to read.

I joined the Spring Reading Thing Challenge last March to read and re-read the following books. How’d I do?

Power of the Soul - John Holland – YES!
Entangled Minds - Dean Radin - Nope
Divine Matrix - Greg Braden (a re-read) - Nope
Biology of Belief Bruce Lipton – (a re-read) Nope
Four Principles of Creation - John L Payne – ( a re-read) Nope

However, in addition to Heart of Love, I did read:

Blogs that Rock My World!

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Folks, I recently subscribed to a large number of blogs introduced by Priscilla Palmer’s Personal Development List. I love personal empowerment blogs, especially when they challenge my thinking, teach me something new, and inspire me.

One such blog is the fabulously fun and jolly blog, JOLLYLIFECOACHING, by Elly. If you love to have fun, you gotta go there. Her most recent post, “Are You An Independent Thinker?” is right up my alley. It reminds me of my post about the infamous Identity System, with it’s Depressor and Fixer.

Elly asks in her post, whether you were parented with too much approval or too much criticism, and how that plays out in life. My answer, too much criticism, or at least that’s my memory. So much so, that when I FINALLY got approval, I didn’t believe it!

The Fixer in me DRIVES me to perfection. Did I say The Fixer in me DRIVES me to perfection?? And, no matter WHAT I accomplish, the Depressor makes absolutely sure I know it’s STILL not good enough.

The good news….I get to COME TO MY SENSES. I get to follow my heart, my intuition, MY FEELINGS and that still small voice inside that guides my path. Like Step #4 in The Rebel Belle Guide to Bold Self-Expression, I get to trust myself completely. I get to FEEL IT, FEEL IT, FEEL IT!

Connected to Source, FEELING and livin’ from “bellepower”, I am my boldest voice of self-expression. I am an Independent Thinker. And, what anybody else in this fabulous world we live in thinks of me is NONE of my business. Rock on!

No Peace of Mind- The Identity System Loop Part 2

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

I’m not good enough, I’ll never be thin. He doesn’t love me. They won’t let me be who I am. I’ll never be rich. I’m not a good parent. I’m not a good business woman. Mom likes her best. I never get what I want. I’ll never be happy until “fill in the blank”.

OMG! Does that make you feel as icky as it does me? Whew!

This is THE DEPRESSOR part of The Identity System. It thinks you’re damaged. The Depressor works hard to reinforce that you are not whole and complete, but SEVERELY DAMAGED with NO HOPE for survival.

In rushes THE FIXER. The Fixer is here to repair you because you’re WEAK and DAMAGED. It creates a REQUIREMENT to pull you out of the muck and mire of your mundane existence with the never ending “to do list” and goals like:

I need to be rich. I need to find my soul mate. He’ll love me when. I’ll show them what I’m capable of. I need to be thin. I must do it myself. If I only achieve or when I achieve “fill in the blank” I’ll be happy……..

But, happiness NEVER comes. The Fixer is NEVER satiated. It always needs more, more, more. And, The Depressor is NEVER satisfied. The loop begins again…..

Sound familiar anyone?

Peace of Mind - Coming to Your Senses

Monday, August 27th, 2007

Its book time again! “Come To Your Senses” by Stanley H Block, M.D. is the Best Book Ever right now. The fabulous SHOCKcoach Philippe Matthews, introduced me to this book, a concept called the Identity System, a method called Bridging, and a rockin’ tool called Mind-Body Mapping. I’m in personal empowerment heaven!

HERE’S HOW IT GOES. The Identity System is who you think you are! It’s your story. It’s the you that drives your thoughts, feelings, emotions and decisions. It’s your DEFENDER and PROTECTOR.

When operating it cuts you off from Source, contracts your awareness, impairs natural functioning and limits possibilities. In essence, it shuts down your senses. OUCH! Sounds terrible, what does that mean? What is means is you’re locked in a loop and there’s NO WAY OUT. Let’s see how it works.

My Name is Tuck Self and I’m a Bookaholic!

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

Everyone seems to be writing and blogging about books these days. I love it! I recently featured an article in my newsletter, The Rebel Belle Yell about a life defining moment stemming from a book I read - Deepak Chopra’s, The 7 Spiritual Laws of Success. Check it out here.

And, just in the last 3 days I’ve received blog comments and newsletter emails from other passionate women sharing their love of books, the ones they’ve read and the one’s they’re currently reading. I think this is fabulous!! Wanna play?

Go on over to LoudenMouth and join Jennifer Louden who is blogging about “Books That Have Changed My Life”.

Here are a few of my favorites. My list includes books that have rocked my world so profoundly I continue to read them time and time again.

The Science of Getting Rich – by Wallace Wattles
My introduction to Bob Proctor and Universal Law.

Living in Harmony By Natural Law - by The Natural Law Group, LLC
Living in harmony with natural law begins with the greatest law, the Law of Love.

Listen, There’s a World Waiting to Be Heard – by Dr. Carol McCall
A brilliant book on benefit of Empowered Listening.

Love Without End, Jesus Speaks by Glenda Green
Glenda shares her beautiful and transforming conversation with Jesus.

Living Design by Ra Uru Hu and Jovian Archive
An introduction to the Human Design System and the truth of who we are.

Ask and It is Given – Jerry and Esther Hicks
Three easy steps for manifesting the life you desire!

The Four Principles of Creation – by John Payne
OMNI reveals that we ARE love, abundance, well-being and creativity.

Why Is This Happening to Me Again – by Dr. Michael Ryce
A fun and easy read with a simple explanation and tool for changing your reality

Personal Magic by Jenny Marlow
Use your personal magic to overcome your fears, work on your issues and create a life of love and work that resonate with your soul.

The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton
Unleash the power of your consciousness.

The Isaiah Effect - by Gregg Braden
Prayer is manifested through the alignment of thought, emotion and feeling.

I could go on and on…. I guess it’s obvious that in my case I love personal empowerment books that teach and integrate universal love, energy and spirit. Even writing this blog about the topic gets me excited.

What are some of your favorite books? I’d love it if you’d share!!

PS. Don’t forget the Spring Thing challenge over at Katrina’s Cattapillar Blog.
