This was an opening question on Oprah last week….

Are you living your life?

You certainly deserve to live the best life ever! Whether you are or whether you aren’t, you’re the one responsible for creating what you have. YOU are creating the current set of circumstances in your life. Aware or not, you do it all!

How you might ask?

Why, it’s the Law of Attraction – The energy, thoughts, emotions and feelings you put out into the world, good or bad, will always come back to you. Like attracts like. Life is created by the choices you make, the thoughts you think and the way you hold your energy. Every choice you make leads you to where you are now.

How many times have you heard these phrases?

What you think about you bring about. Energy flows where attention goes. What you focus on expands. What goes around comes around.

Makes sense doesn’t it? So, if the Law of Attraction is at work and the Universe is responding in each and every moment to how you think, feel and emote, wouldn’t you rather do the Maria Von Trapp, Mary Poppins or Pollyana thing and “think lovely thoughts”?

I would….”raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…….”

Okay folks, here I go again! Last Friday Oprah (Okra as I like to call her) had special guests for the DVD The Secret on her show for the 2nd time. Her guests this week were The Reverend Dr. Michael Beckwith and James Earl Ray. A few weeks ago these individuals were guests on her show along with Lisa Nichols, Jack Canfield and the creator of The Secret, Rhonda Byrne.

If you have not had the opportunity to watch this empowering, creative and heart centered production, I encourage you to do so. I find it enlightening, provocative, powerful and inspirational every time I watch it. And, yes…I too was introduced to these principles many years ago. However, I love being reminded, reconnected and re-aligned with the truth and essence of who I am.

Here are a few secrets to share:

“Nothing new can come into your life until you have gratitude for what you have”

“We expect others to show us our greatness. However, it is up to us to show up understanding our greatness and allow others to celebrate our greatness with us.”

“I am the 1st example of how the world is supposed to love me. And, I have to give them the best example ever!”

“I choose today to give myself the best life ever.”

“Most people use their story to keep them where they are and to keep them stuck. Write a new story. Write a new script.”

Are you a positive thinker?

On Larry King Live the other night, Rev. Michael Beckwith shared his thoughts on positive thinking. Rev. Michael speaks of affirmative thinking rather than positive thinking. He says we “think positively” about many things. We can be positive that we are rich and we can be positive that we are broke. We can think positively about both circumstances.

Affirmative thinking has us choose “positive” even when “the negative” appears. We make a choice to see both sides as opportunity, learning and advantage.

Rev. Michael says, “Begin with affirming that we are surrounded by a unified field of awareness that is operating for us. The nature of this field and Universe is good. Again, we ask, how does this serve? We trust that everything is in divine right order. “

JZ Knight offered that she doesn’t even like to use the word “positive thinking”. Using the word “positive” suggests that we are by nature negative. JZ says, “We are wonderful”. She says to let the goodness, the light and the love within bubble up and out. “Fall in love with all aspects of who you are”.

JZ says to wake us each day and affirm:

“I’m wonderful. I’m filled with wonder. I am my greatest mystery and this day what I say will manifest. I will experience the wonder of myself. This day I am a genius. I create a new reality that is fulfilling and without worry.”

I invite you to focus on what you love about you today…celebrate you….affirm you! You are wonderful!

How many of you caught “The Secret” crew on Larry King Live last night? I was so pumped. All that power, positive resonance, love and creativity in one space was blowing my mind.

I’ve watched it twice allowing and integrating the wisdom into my heart and mind through repetition and osmosis. The ideas and words spoken and shared warmed my heart and soul. Here are just of few of the nuggets of wisdom I received.

The quality of my life is equal to the quality of the questions I ask myself. Ask how can this serve? Use opportunity and all it brings as a resource. Bless what is.

I can create the life I desire. The first step is awareness. Awareness begins with gratitude and an open heart. The nature of the Universe is good. I can surrender to that goodness, align with it, embody and internalize it.

I have a choice. I can take responsibility for my reality, and how I approach and perceive my life circumstances. I can begin with inner talk that is uplifting, inspirational and affirmative. When I believe that things can be better, change is possible.

Know my values. Set objectives that inspire and align with those values. Create a vision for my life. Describe, feel it, live in it and the Universe will compel me into right action. I am here, we are here to deliver our gifts, talents, capabilities, and to develop ourselves to our fullest potential and express ourselves.

Start and end each day in a state of gratitude and grace and count my blessings.
